Research gave birth to Elementa and it will continue to remain a central focus of our company into the future.
Universities
We plan to develop a rich network of sponsored R&D programs at leading institutions, several of which have already shown interest. To date, we have worked with:
University of Toronto (UofT).
The Department of Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry at UofT has 490 undergraduate students, 90 graduate students and 40 faculty members. Professor Don Kirk leads specific research projects on behalf of Elementa. Dr. Kirk’s team has provided research to help optimize the Elementa Process and its effects on municipal solid waste and other materials. Additional gas cleaning technologies will be evaluated and tested, with a focus on mercury removal.
Commercial Research Organizations
Syngas Products: The Elementa Process results in large quantities of clean syngas. We welcome research into the creation of valuable products and by-products from this output. We’re interested in participating and jointly utilizing the results.
