e-Waste

Electronic waste (e-Waste) is a term used to categorize electronic equipment that has reached the end of its serviceable life and is destined for disposal.

Electronic devices and equipment are generally considered toxic when disassembled and/or landfilled, and typically are targeted for hazardous disposal or recovery and reuse programs.

The e-Waste industry is an emerging market as a direct result of the ever increasing electronics market; e-Waste is the fastest growing waste stream in the world and must be addressed in order to meet sustainability goals.

Recent technological advancements such as the Elementa Process allow for viable disposal of e-Waste in order to ensure safe destruction of private and corporate information contained on electronic devices, while maximizing the recyclable content of e-Waste such as precious metals.

Elementa has secured relationships with recovery system providers to remove all valuable e-Waste products. The subsequent residue from e-Waste contains high BTU value materials that can be introduced into the Elementa Process without the negative side effects of incineration or landfilling.
