TECHNICAL PROCESS OPERATOR, SAULT STE. MARIE
Overview
The plant Technical Process Operator will primarily be responsible for the day to day operation and maintenance of the reformation process.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Coordination of plant operations;
Completing all required plant log sheets, check lists, audits, inspections and reports as required under plant policy and current M.O.E., C of A as required;
Monitoring the process controls and HMI as well as coordinating operations of the receiving room with the Process Operator;
Assisting the Chemical Analyst in the process sampling for laboratory analysis;
Trouble shooting for process issues, make modifications of plant systems as required to improve the process reliability and safety of the plant, coordinate maintenance schedules etc.;
Conducting all plant maintenance tasks with the assistance of the Process Operator;
Assist with installation of new equipment and/or replacements as needed.
The successful candidate will have a post secondary degree or diploma specializing in Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years experience as an operating engineer or equivalent working knowledge of process equipment with sufficient mechanical knowledge to perform routine maintenance of all plant equipment. The ideal candidate is excellent verbal and written communications skills, proficient with Microsoft applications and process software and report writing; operational and engineering reports.
